I ordered the simple waffle, Otto on the go, sprinkled with coconut blossom sugar. The waffle was so light and airy, and perfectly crispy! It was served warm, and the sugar added just the right amount of sweetness. I also got an iced caramel macchiato, which was delicious. It wasn’t overly sweet like many iced coffees (sugar is available for those who prefer their coffee sweeter), but it still had a wonderful caramel flavor. This is a nice twist on the more traditional Belgian waffles, and I’ll definitely be back!

Overlooking the canal, Otto Waffle Atelier is a great spot for plant-based waffles (upon request). The waffles taste just as good as they did two years ago, when I first visited: made with high-quality ingredients and delicious on their own or with a variety of delicious toppings. The view is stunning, the coffee is perfect, and the space is always clean and inviting.

Service was very quick and efficient, courtesy of a lovely lady, and I met the fantastic Otto, the shop owner. This was honestly the best waffle I’ve ever had. It was beautifully presented, piping hot, and so fluffy it felt like it melted in my mouth. Otto explained how they’re made with oat flour, less sugar, and sustainable oil, but it tasted so decadent you’d never know! Definitely a must-visit. I had the Chocolate Lady waffle. I ate with a view of the water, which only made the experience even better!
